About Valentine Fine Art

Valentine Fine Art is housed in a beautiful Georgian building on Corve street, Ludlow – the new “Art Quarter”! Formerly at the Valentyne Dawes Gallery in Ludlow, we have moved to accommodate a growing collection, including a new emphasis on Modern and Contemporary Art that will be housed on the Second Floor.
This includes Limited Edition Lithographs and selected originals. We also have other complementary items on sale including lighting and curios.
Downstairs on the Ground Floor is our 18th/19th Century collection which includes Maritime, Fine Landscapes and Genre paintings from some of the best known names of the day.
The almost Museum -like quality of other galleries is not for us. We are not demure! We want to engage and make a visit here informal, comfortable, relaxed and of course interesting.

We continue to be sole UK dealers to both Frits Goosen and Rene Legrand, two artists who excel on the Contemporary Art scene and both of whom have a very loyal following and burgeoning client lists.
René Jerome Legrand
René’s paintings are highly sought after and have found their way into some important collections. It is lovely and very decorative work, invoking memories of some of the great St. Ives School painters of the past, and still highly affordable. Many people are reminded of their own childhood or their children’s, his paintings invoke fond memories of bygone times.
